Ana Roque Antunes is a composer, bass player and music teacher.
She began by studying classical guitar and electric bass at Musicentro in Lisbon Salesians, between 2009 and 2017. In 2018, she started her journey in composition with Ana Seara at Lisbon Music Academy, where she finished the Secondary Course of Music. In that year, she was admitted to Lisbon College of Music. At this institution, she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Music (Composition) between 2018 and 2021 and the Master's Degree in Music Education (Composition), presenting her thesis about the extramusical analysis's influence in the musical performance. During her studies at Lisbon College of Music, she highlights her lessons with Luís Tinoco. In 2023, she joined the Postgraduate Program in Film Scoring at the National Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies, under the direction of Nuno Dario.

Her work has been recognized and performed in Portugal by excellent interpreters (such as Duo Contracello or Euterpe Guitar Duo) and at important national events and concert halls (such as Festival Música Viva, Oculto d'Ajuda, Lisboa Incomum, Casa da Música Jorge Peixinho, MAAT Museum, or Casa da Música, Porto). She has received commissions from various institutions, performers and ensembles, such as Antena 2 / RTP (Young Musicians Award) and Maat Saxophone Quartet, responsible for the international premiere of her music. In 2022, she was awarded with Francisco Martins Award by Center Classical Orchestra, premiering the orchestral piece "De Onde Venho". In 2023, she received the Incentive to Creation Award from São Carlos National Theatre with her first orchestral piece, "Magma".

In addition to her activity as a composer, she is the Composition teacher at Lisbon Music Academy, a specialized arts school, where she additionally teaches Analysis & Composition Techniques and Music & Arts History. She also has a group of private students of various ages, with instrument and music theory lessons. She performs as a bass player in multiple projects, having some experience in music for theater, improvised comedy shows, studio recordings, and playing with many artists. She is highly active in all these areas, with a particular interest in visual and performing arts, social action, and education. She aims to always promote the complementarity of these areas in her artistic production.
